Ever heard the saying "Life is a pot of beans"? Well, let me explain.
It takes an average of 45 minutes to cook a small pot of beans poridge (3-4 servings), and that depends on the type of beans and whether the beans is good, other wise it can take as much as 90minutes. Let's even assume it's the popular honeybeans (Olooyin) which cooks fast and has a sweet taste hence its name. Olooyin takes an average of 45 minutes to cook on a high temperature.
Some tips when you're cooking beans:
- You don't cook beans when you're starving, so, except you have the gift of long suffering, better cook you some noodles 'cause beans does not respect a starving man.
- Don't even make the mistake of adding salt before it's soft, otherwise, you're on your own.
- You add all your ingredients when the beans is cooked to the desired texture.
- Over-night beans is the best. (Tested, tasted and proven)
Life is a pot of half-done beans.

It all depends on you.
If life is a pot of half-done beans, Be thankful; someone cooked it halfway and probably gave up on it. Now that you've found it, you can either eat it like that or keep cooking it till you get your desired taste and consistency.
If life is a pot of cooked beans, enjoy. You owe no man no apology. Someone cooked it ahead for you. Be thankful and make sure you cook another for the next generation or at least share the one you have with people around you.
If Life is a pot of delicious overnight beans, enjoy and remember to give back to the world!

If you must succeed as an artiste, especially as a conscious artiste and/or as a Christian music artiste, you must have the tenacity to persevere. It takes a lot of hard work and perseverance to succeed as an artiste especially if you do the kind of music they call "Hard Sell". Frank Ocean, Lorde, Miguel, Florence + The Machine, Lana Del Rey, to mention a few are artistes who have been able to have mainstream success with Hard Sell materials. It's all about Perseverance among other factors of course.
I'm sure you've been doing this for 20 years and you're yet to get your big break, let me give you a small assignment; google all the top gospel artistes in the world and read up on how long it took them to get their big break. When you're done reading, come tell me in the comment section below why you should give up, until then I encourage you to hang in there, persevere.
