I'm sure some of you are wondering why I post songs here when I should be writing posts that can help you succeed as Christian music artistes. Well, I share some of these songs with you because I believe these artistes are exceptional and worthy of being studied.
I'm one of those few people who believe Christian music doesn't have to sound like traditional gospel music. I like to encourage young Christian music artistes who have an unusual sound with strong
lyrical content that touch on the practical everyday challenges young Christians face everyday that aren't usually dealt with at church or even when they are being dealt with, the solutions are usually presented like very deep spiritual solutions that only the 'holy' can apply and only leaves the affected feeling more confused and inadequate.
Music has the power to address these issues without making the listener feel judged. I usually support artistes who create such music. That's why I decided to work exclusively with Christian music artistes and artistes who make deep, conscious music. If you observe carefully, you'll notice I try to avoid using the term gospel artiste because gospel music is just a genre in Christian music predominantly preformed by blacks.
Today I'm showcasing Mali music's Beautiful. Mali music is one artiste I respect. I love his sound, it relaxes me, especially his recent album Mali Is... Please listen to the lyrics in this song and make sure you always remind yourself that you're beautiful no matter how scarred you think you are, especially for the ladies who have been battered with harsh words from people telling them they aren't worth much or making them feel like they're not beautiful. You're beautiful honey. You've overcome a lot, that is beauty. You're ploughing a career in Christian music, it takes bravery to do that... You're beautiful. Enjoy!
